Debbi Rollo – The Book of Mormon Through Rhymes
Learn how experiencing the Book of Mormon through rhymes can create a new love of the Book of Mormon. Reading its stories and teachings through short and catchy rhymes, similar to Mother Goose, brings a new energy and light to the scriptures. It can be difficult for children and even adults to understand the words and concepts taught in the scriptures. Adding these clever and carefully written rhymes to scripture study will help those of all ages enjoy and discover many of the stories and great truths found in the Book of Mormon.
In this presentation, Debbi Rollo, author of “Book of Mormon Rhymes: A Companion for Family Scripture Study” will share her story for writing the book and will read selected rhymes that will touch your heart and remind you of the power and truthfulness of the Book of Mormon.
Debbi S. Rollo is a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, baptized at age 21 by her husband, Craig, one year after they were married. She loves to create games, activities and other supplemental material to make scripture study more fun and interesting. Not growing up with religion, when Debbi joined the Church she fell in love with scripture study, particularly the Book of Mormon. Creating her book of rhymes has been one of her greatest joys.
